Real-Time Data Film
We Tried
Launched on World Environment Day 2025, We Tried debuted as the world’s first animated music video powered by live climate data. A collaboration between artists, technologists, and activists, it transforms environmental data into a living, breathing audiovisual story. At its heart, We Tried is where data meets emotion - turning carbon emissions, temperature shifts, and deforestation rates into sound, rhythm, and moving imagery. The short film follows two bluebirds building a home, only to lose it to extreme weather, a poetic portrayal of fragility in the face of a changing planet.
As the world’s conditions evolve, so does the video, dynamically updating in real time to reflect Earth’s current state. Through AI-assisted creativity and generative storytelling, the project redefines how we communicate climate truth, making it visceral, human, and impossible to ignore. More than a music video, We Tried is a new model for creative activism, proving how art, technology, and data can unite to inspire empathy, urgency, and action.

Louise Harris, Climate Activist & Singer-Songwriter wrote 'We Tried' a song dedicated to climate change. In 2023 December the song rose to number 4 in the UK Music Chart, yet no radio station would play it. Our video helped gain cultural currency and reach for the artist.
